Bucéfalo es una banda compuesta por músicos de Ensenada y Mexicali Baja California, formada en el 2016, con una dinámica basada en el jazz, haciendo constantes guiños al funk y a la improvisación libre. Las composiciones originales delatan las influencias de la música y demás artes contemporáneas, abrevando de los clásicos standards y swings así como de los maestros vanguardistas. El sonido es en sí, su perspectiva del mundo digerida y aderezada por sus integrantes.
Uno de sus tantos objetivos, es difundir su música y el jazz de su región de forma global, hacer ver que las nuevas generaciones siguen interesados en este género.
Bucefalo is a band formed by musicians from Ensenada and Mexicali Baja California, starting in 2016 with a dynamic based in jazz, but making constant winks to funk and free improvisation. The original compositions reveal their influences in music and other contemporary arts, feeding from the classic standards and swing but also from the vanguard masters.Their sound thereby, is the perspective of the world, digested and dressed by the members.
One of many objectives of Bucefalo is to spread their music and the regional jazz through the world, to make view that the new generation still cares about this genre.
